CARLOS AGUSTIN, our ancestor and a Spanish-Mexican nobleman from Acapulco, Mexico. He arrived in Mission San Bartolome (Tartaro, San Miguel, Bulacan) in the company of the early Augustinian friars assigned to do missionary and evangelical work in Northern Bulacan. He was a true Christian and devoted father. His renowned Castilian honesty and love of family endeared him to numerous Filipino friends. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
MARIA JUANA PUNO, wife of Carlos Agustin and relative of Miguel Puno, a leader of the Pampango dominated Mission Sto. Rosario (Mandile) -who with Miguel Pineda, organized and helped establish the town of San Miguel, Bulacan. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
More than a hundred well known citizens of San Miguel were elected/appointed Capitan Municipal or Gobernadorcillo after Miguel Pineda until 1900 when the Americans came. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
