            PABLO MANIQUIS (D4), a freedom fighter who in the spirit and tradition of the great Lapu-lapu in Mactan shot and killed Colonel Stotsenberg in the Battleof Quinqwa (Plaridel, Bulacan) where the Batalyon San Miguel of Brigada del Pilar put up their last stand defending Bulacan from the onslaught of a stronger and superior American force
            JOSE MANIQUIS (D5), is always at the vanguard of human rights protection. He is remembered for his early participation in the educational program for the youth of San Miguel to his guerilla activities against the Japanese military in the vicinity of Sibul Springs
           JUAN D. MANIQUIS (D6), was a musician, band leader and music teacher in Davao before he joined the military. He was a guerilla fighter during WWII and became an officer during the war.  He did his army officers training in Virginia and eventually became an officer in the Philippine Constabulary.  Former President Fidel Ramos was one of the lieutenants who serverd under him when he was a major. He retired as a colonel.
            EMMA M. CASTANEDA (D6), daughter of Felix (D5), a Pharmacy Board topnotcher from Centro Escolar University where she taught for many years. She was Dean of the College of Pharmacy of the Aguinaldo Medical Center when she was designated Chairperson of the Technical Panel preparing the Generic Law.
            LUCIA MANIQUIS (D6), a consistent scholar and professor of the Department of Zoology at the University of the Philippines. She was one of the first Filipino women to obtain a Ph. D in Zoology at Michigan State University. She was named 1970 Biology Teacher by the Philippines Biology Teachers Association.
           MARTHA MANIQUIS (D6), is the popular Sister Fe Consolata, vice-president of  St. Paul University in Cagayan and holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.  With her educational attainment, she has represented her congregation and St. Paul schools in various educational and civic activities. 
            RICARDO MANIQUIS (D7), an intrepid guerillero during the Japanese occupation. He was town councilor for 30 years and has continuously worked for the welfare of war veterans and senior citizens of San Miguel. Even at retirement age, he is the Post commander of the veterans and President of the Senior Citizens Association in San Miguel.
           JESS  MANIQUIS (D7),  started the 60's band "The Drastics" with Vince Carlos. They played a lot on old teen
tv shows  specially the one that was hosted by Lito Gorospe and Leila Benitez.  Then he played for the band "The Robbins" where he met Jaime Jose.  They started a band called Jaime Jose and D'Deltas which eventually became Jess Maniquis and D'Deltas.  While with th Deltas Jess was branded the Paul McCartney of the Philippines by his fans because of his looks and style of singing.  After the Deltas, he played for a couple of other groups (HiJacks, Imperials, etc.) before moving on the the Bit's and Pieces band.  He did several concerts and shows in the Philippines and then moved on to doing commercial jingles for ABS-CBN, Today, Jess' band , the Bit's and Pieces is still alive and doing gigs all over California and Las Vegas.            RODOLFO MANIQUIS (D7), Captain,  Philippine Navy (ret.) After graduating with honors from the Philippine Military Academy in 1960, Rod served the country as a young naval officer, and later as a commander  in the bandit-infested seas of Southern Philippines. He was promoted to Captain and served as Philippine Military Attache to Indonesia.  He now resides  with his family in San Diego, California.
           JING AND JOY MANIQUIS (D7), brothers and members of a famous band in the Philippines called  "The Things", (managed by Greg Honasan, now a Philippine senator) The band was called "The Purple People" later on.
